Because Hunger Does Not Take A Summer Vacation

Care and Share is ministry of the Westville United Methodist Church in partnership with the Westville Community, whose mission is to provide food for children who may not have adequate food on weekends during the school year and during the summer months.

Care and Share is trying something new this summer, and will need a lot of cooperation from the community to be successful. So your job is to help spread the word about this new idea to help others have healthy food during the summer months.

Care and Share will be sponsoring weekly FREE FARMER’S MARKETS. Many times gardeners have more produce more than they can use. We would like for the garden- ers in our community to share their produce periodically with others. The FREE FARMER’S MARKETS WILL start on July 18th at the Westville United Methodist Church from 5:00-6:00. We will also be giving away food staples, such as cereal, peanut butter, and any other food that may be donated. FREE FARMER’S MARKETS will continue on Mondays from 5:00-6:00 on the side yard of the United Methodist Church on Main Street throughout the growing season. If you are not a gardener, but would still like to help, please donate other foods that will be given away during the market.
